Sermon Title: What Wisdom is This
Preacher: Pastor Ayo Ajani
Date: 07.01.2024

Prayer

Let us lift our hands towards heaven and bless this God who is worthy. How He has lavished His love, His mercies and His grace. Let your bowels be moved at the mention and at the thought of the name of Jesus. Give Him thanks and praise. Bless Him, Worship Him.. Thank you Lord..

Songs of Solomon 5:4
My beloved put his hand by the hole of the door and my bowels were moved for him.
It is spiritual maturity to ensure nothing else commands your affections and emotions but Jesus. You can’t hear the name of Jesus and just be seated comfortably and be casual about it. It doesn’t speak much of your growth. It is a decision to be moved. It is a decision to hear the name of Jesus and lift up your hands and worship Him with all your heart. It is not Him that moves you, it is you. You make a decision regardless of whether you feel anything or not. Make up your mind that nothing else on the face of the earth will command your emotions and affections but Jesus. Nothing else will move your heart the way Jesus does.

Sermon

The priest has two assignments:

  1. To bring the counsel of God (What is God saying)
  2. To bring the blessings of God (What is the empowerment for that counsel)

I stand as a priest of the Lord today and I bring the counsel of the Lord to you and pronounce the blessings of the Lord over your life. The greater effect of a message is not just the communication of information, but the impartation of the spirit behind that message. In Ezekiel 2 (2:2) and 3 (3:24), Ezekiel said the spirit entered into me as he spoke. That’s why we listen to messages over and over again. There is an impartation as words are spoken.

I said before, there are only 2 problems in the world, a power problem and a wisdom problem. For a power problem, it takes a higher power to be applied to the situation. For wisdom problems, adjustments and corrections need to be made. The excellency of wisdom is that it takes wisdom to know how to apply that power. Solomon said wisdom is the principal thing and not a principal thing. So, cry for wisdom, go for wisdom with all of your heart.

I made a decision not to be jealous or envious of anyone or person on the face of the earth. If you know what they know, then you will command what they command. There is nothing anyone can give you that will not end. The greatest thing a person can give you is their wisdom. The challenge is we are seeking the wrong things. Most times we are seeking for cars, houses etc. Solomon was only but a child, and he asked for wisdom to lead His people. God could have said, for the wisdom you have asked for, take it and go lead my people. No, God said and so that we may learn, that for what you have asked, you have not asked for riches, long life or the life of your enemies, but understanding to discern judgment. I have given thee a wise and understanding heart so that there is none like thee neither shall there be any like thee again. I have also given thee what thou has not asked. (1 Kings 3).  Solomon asked for one thing and he got the bumper package.

God Himself lets us know that Solomon asked for the principal thing. When you have wisdom, you have length of days. When you have wisdom, you have riches. When you have wisdom, you have the “life of your enemies.” When you have wisdom, you have honor. It is that one thing that delivers everything else. 1 Kings 3:3. The bible said Solomon loved the Lord, even before he asked the Lord for wisdom. This is the foundation of all wisdom. Everything changed when the bible said, and Solomon loved many strange women. His wisdom turned into his folly when the object of his affection changed.

We must make up our mind that this life will be a life built by wisdom. Proverbs 9 says “wisdom buildeth a house and hewn out 7 pillars.” So wisdom is delivered and it builds. My prayer for someone is that as we run through this month, the spirit of wisdom will be imparted into your heart in the mighty name of Jesus.

Mark 6:1-2. There is a conversation about the ministry of Jesus Christ in this chapter.  When Jesus was preaching and teaching, the people asked themselves by reason of what wisdom does this man do these things and what wisdom is given unto him that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands.

Therefore, they acknowledged that this wisdom is not something that existed amongst humans. They acknowledged the kind of works we are seeing can’t be produced by the kind of wisdom we are used to. They acknowledged that this wisdom was granted from another source. They said, what wisdom is given to him, not that he studied it out or searched it out or learnt it anywhere. There is a wisdom of God that can be imparted into the life of a man that sets him apart from everyone else. This wisdom is given and not learnt. It is imparted.

Christ has been made unto us wisdom and in Christ is hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. In other words, whatever Jesus has a claim to, you have a claim to it in redemption. Revelation 5:12 shows us the 7 blessings of redemption. It is easy to believe that honor, power, glory, and righteousness is a blessing of redemption. Brothers and sisters, it is time to believe that wisdom is a blessing of redemption.

The average believer has been taught on the power of God but you can’t build with the power of God. You build with the wisdom of God. What wisdom is this, they said. And as I prepared for this year, I heard the Lord say to me that this year is the year that wisdom built. He said the testimony that was given concerning me, is the same testimony that will be given concerning many in this house.

Being intelligent is not the same thing as being wise. That’s why you have academicians that can’t build nothing. Wisdom is an impartation. You can have an abundance of information and still not know what to do. You can read all the books in the world and not be wise. Knowledge and wisdom are two separate things. Is knowledge needed to be able to get wisdom? Yes, however, God can skip knowledge and impart wisdom.

So what are the 3 definitions of wisdom;

  1. Wisdom is the influence of the word of God on the human spirit causing it to have superior and an unnatural perspective and insight into things, situations and life in general. You can look at the same thing everyone is seeing and see something different. George Washington Carver saw something that everyone else saw as a source of food, the soya bean. He derived 360 inventions  from that one thing, the soya bean. He saw something no one else was seeing.

  1.  Wisdom is the supernatural ability to distill, to discern the best means, innovative strategies and course of actions from the word of God in response to life’s demands. Life will bring demands, wisdom will give you the ability to rightfully discern the best course of action to address it.

  1. It is the supernatural ability to see through any situation or issue and provide solutions beyond the realm of human intelligence. James 3:13 -17.  Wisdom does not end with nice sayings, it is not quotable quotes. There is a wisdom that comes from above, it does not come from amongst men.

Different types of wisdom

  1. Earthly wisdom (common sense). Everyone is born with it, this comes with the natural man into the world.
  2. Sensual wisdom. This means it is from the senses, the operation of your senses. It is gathered from your observations and your studies. Intellectual wisdom. It will give you a little edge around the people around you but it will not bring you into destiny.
  3. There is devilish wisdom that can come from the demonic kingdom. If demons can make people stronger, then they can also make people wiser.
  4. Divine wisdom. The wisdom that cometh from above. Luke 7:35. Jesus made a very powerful statement, He said, Wisdom is justified by her children. This is translated as Wisdom is justified by her deeds. These are works, deeds, results that are seen in a person’s life as a result of this wisdom in operation.

You want things to change, you need to start taking responsibility for your life. The first way to take responsibility for your life is to get wisdom. The world is waiting for you to wake up. Your salary is a sleeping pill, your destiny is wasting away because needs are met through salary.. Wake up!! Somebody say wake up!! By the wisdom of God, there is nothing in life you go through that can’t be used to get you to your destiny, if you use  them well.

Now, the 5 deeds of wisdom are:

  1. Discernment and sound judgment. This will lead to superior decision making. Everyone seated here is a product of their decisions and not a making of the enemy. If we can improve our decision making process, if we can improve the thoughts that go through our decision making process then we can improve our lives. Solomon made a superior decision when he solved the quarrel between the two harlots. 1 Kings 3:15 -28

  1. Problem solving and providing solutions. Genesis 41:33-37. Daniel 5:10-12. One of the deeds of wisdom is the ability to solve problems and I have found the quality of problems you solve determines how high the quality of your life would be.

  1. Creativity and craftsmanship. Exodus 28:3 Exodus 31:1-6. Exodus 35:30 . Wisdom is imparted and through wisdom you produce results and then have the ability to share and teach that wisdom to others, through writings in books, manuals etc.  In other words, the wisdom that was imparted in you, gives you the ability to teach it to others as well. 1 Kings 4:32. You see wisdom in creativity and craftsmanship here, the bible says King Solomon wrote 1005 songs.

  1. Innovations and inventions. Innovation means to improve on something that is already existent and invention means to create something that never existed before. Wisdom finds expression though both of them. Proverbs 8:12. 1st Chronicles 23:5. In this chapter, we see David making instruments for people to play. 2 Chronicles 26:15. Here we see king Uzziah creating engines in Jerusalem. This was why he was so successful. God gave him wisdom to invent.

  1. Breakthrough ideas and strategies. Genesis 30 :25-43. We see Jacob’s story where an angel visited him and gave him strategies that caused him to be very wealthy. Joshua 5 and 6, we see the battle strategy the Lord gave him that landed him great victory. The Lord brought him wisdom.

My prayer is that before this week is over, the angel of the Lord shall visit you. Everyday of this month will be an impartation of the wisdom of God. You need to measure your life against these deeds listed. Make up your mind that all these deeds will find expression in your life this year.

Prayer

Take full delivery of this wisdom today. I want you to pray from the depth of your heart. Cry out unto the Lord and ask Him for an impartation of wisdom today. What you need is wisdom!!

I decree over everyone who is hungry and who’s heart is panting after this thing, let there be an impartation of the spirit of wisdom. I decree and declare you have come into a higher place in your reasoning and in your mind. As it was said of Daniel, it shall be said of you as well, that within you is light, within you is understanding and within you is the wisdom of God in the mighty name of Jesus.

The Lord told me He will visit everyone in this service who is hungry for this wisdom. He said my angel will visit people this week in the name of Jesus. Somebody shout it out, I receive it!!
